Kaiten Nage

Kaiten Nage - One Practical Combat Approach

As the attacker attempts a right hand punch, the defender’s left foot arc steps to the left and his right hand rotates clockwise deflecting the attacker’s right hand downward. Then the defender’s left hand grabs the attacker’s right arm.

The defender’s right hand strikes the attacker’s face. The strike is for distraction only or off balancing purposes. If the strike is at full power, the attacker will be pushed to the side too far for the defender to throw him. Being thrown on the cement will hurt the attacker considerably more than the strike.

The defender’s position is on the side and perpendicular to the attacker’s right side making it very difficult for him to left hand strike the defender.

Then the defender’s right hand grabs the back of the attacker’s neck.

As the defender’s right hand pulls the attacker’s head down and to the left, his left hand pulls the attacker’s right wrist to the rear and upwards. Note while the defender’s right hand is doing the above action, his left hand rotates counter clockwise (on the attacker’s right arm) over the back of the wrist and finishing in between his thumb and index finger.

The defender continues his circular hand motions which throws the attacker forward unto the ground.

As the attacker's hand punches, the defender takes a left foot arc step to the left and his right hand blocks the attacker's right arm. As the defender's right hand deflects downward the attacker's right arm, then his left hand grabs the attacker's right arm and releases his right hand.

Defender's right hand punches the attacker's face.

Then defender's right hand grabs the back of the attacker's neck.

As the defender's right hand pulls the attacker's head down to his left, his left hand pulls the attacker's right wrist to the rear and upward's. Note his left hand rotates counter clockwise (on the attacker's right arm) over the back of his wrist to his thumb and index finger.

Defender continues his circular hand motions, which throws the attacker onto the ground.
